Muammer Ozdemir resigns as Ankaragucu manager !

As expected Muammer Ozdemir has tonight resigned as manager of Ankaragucu. After only 6 games in which he won 1 game and drew the other 5 Ozdemir believes its best for both parties if he steps down due to the problems off field. He thanks the management and fans and wished them all the best in the future.

Ozdemir has spent over 14 years as the club as a youth coach and just recently the manager of the first team. His appointment in the summer raised a few eyebrows due to him being out of football for 3 years. Although the team weren't winning games, Ankaragucu were unbeaten in 14 games including pre season under his leadership.

Reports tonight claim that Aykan Atik will takeover as the new manager of the club. If these reports are true then its another dull appointment by the management. Atik has previously coached Haceteppe, Gebzespor and Gumushanespor. He is also currently working as a coach at Ankaragucu and it looks like it will be an internal appointment instead of bringing back the fans choice in Mustafa Kaplan.
