Serdar Kulbilge and Bekir Evgin sign for Ankaragucu !

The transfer window is starting to get busy at Ankaragucu as we have completed the signings of Genclerbirligi goalkeeper Serdar Kulbilge on a 3 year contract, and Bugasspor goalkeeper Bekir Evgin on a four year contract. These signings all but sound the end of Stefan Senecky and Ozden Ongun's Ankaragucu careers.

Serdar in particular is a fantasric signing, he is an experienced goalkeeper who has played for Bursaspor, Fenerbahce, Kocaliespor and Genclerbirlig. It also means we dont use up a foreign space as Senecky was doing and allows us to bring someone else.

Its been reported we are also trying to sign Gauthier Kanga Akale from RC Lens, he is an Ivory Coast winger with a lot of experience and skill

Im looking forward to hearing what the blog has to say about Serdar, as said i doubt Oz Kanka and the Gencler Kankas will be happy about this.

Be patient Nadeem. It takes Oz Kanka a while to build up a head of anger, but when he gets going he is the Kanka Group's Chief Ranter !!!

I personally welcome Serdar to the team having seen him pull out some great performances for Gencler in the past, particularly against Ankaragucu !!

What's the betting that Oz Kanka will lay into CavCav. Get ready !!!

  2. I have to say i can understand where he is coming from. Gencler had a good young team and suffered with injuries last season. Instead of building on that Cavcav has broken up the team and will start over again.

It may work out if he brings quality in, but i dont think that will be the case.

  3. just a bit of news coming in. Jarioslav Cerny is still with the club and joined the rest of the squad for training yesterday.

Abdullah Keiseroglu also returned to the club from a loan spell. He signed for the club last summer but hasnt featured yet.

The jury is still out on Cerny since he hasn't graced the 19 Mayis turf yet ! However, in view of his impressive CV it will be interesting to see how he fits into the team and hopefully he will prove to be an asset in the important midfield area.

  5. If I'm not mistaken a number of Gençler fans weren't crazy about Serdar--although I can't remember what their reasons were.

It wouldn't surprise me if Oz were among them.

Firstly, and most importantly, welcome back to the Blog Battle Damaged Damon !

and, yes, you and Nadeem are right about Oz Kanka's opinion about Serdar and I was (hands up) wrong !

Spoke to Oz last night (Tuesday) and he was non-plussed about Serdar leaving. However, in my defence, Flying Dutchman Kanka Carlo agrees wholeheartedly with me that Serdar is an excellent goalkeeper and will be an asset to Ankaragucu.
